Lostwithiel Yoga Classes

Classes take place in the Oasis Room, upstairs at the rear of Lostwithiel Community Centre, on Tuesday and Friday mornings.

Tuesday 10.30 to 11.30 – Chair yoga (only 10 spaces available)

£7.50 per class drop-in (please contact me to book a place)
£5.00 per block booking (block bookings have priority given limited studio space – introductory price this term only)

This class is for those new to yoga and who would benefit from a seated session that helps to improve overall well-being through breathing exercises, joint mobility, back-care exercises and a variety of gentle strengthening exercises. This is a trial class with only 10 spaces available.  No mats are required because we use especially designed yoga chairs, which are provided as well as all other blocks and props. Please were comfortable clothing with an elastic waistband.

Tuesday 11.30 to 12.30 – Therapeutic Yoga and Somatics  (only 15 spaces available)

£7.50 per class drop-in (please contact me to book a place)
£5.00 per block booking (block bookings have priority given limited studio space – introductory price this term only)

This class is for those who are looking for a gentle therapeutic class that focuses on joint and back care. The somatic sequences and exercises are simple and help to relieve pain in the hips, back and neck. For most of the session you will be lying on your back, front or side and props and blankets are available for your comfort.

Friday – 10.30 to 11.45 – Yoga for All

This is a great class if you are new to yoga or want to refresh your knowledge. Through a wide range of flowing sequences, standing, seated and lying postures, balances and assisted inversions, we explore all that yoga has to offer the mind, body and spirit .

We being with a thorough joint preparation and spinal warm up and finish our session with a relaxation, pranayama and meditiation. The focus of this class is to support, strengthen and stretch the body while revitalising our inner energies and quieting the mind. Please bring your own mat. All other props are provided.
