Tuesday morning classes take place in the Oasis Room, upstairs at the rear of Lostwithiel Community Centre.

Parking is free.

Props necessary for each class are provided but please bring your own mats.

 
 

Chair & Standing Yoga

Tuesday - 9.30 to 10.25
In the Oasis Rooms at the back of Lostwithiel Community Centre

£7.50 per class drop-in (please contact me to book a place)
£6.00 per block booking (block bookings have priority)

This class is for those new to yoga and who would benefit from a seated and standing session. This class helps to improve overall well-being through breathing exercises, joint mobility, back-care exercises and a variety of gentle strengthening exercises.  No mats are required because we use especially designed yoga chairs.

Introduction to yoga and somatics
A gentle and therapeutic class to relieve pain and tension in the back, neck, hips and shoulders.

Tuesday - 10.30 to 11.25

£6.00 per block booking (block bookings have priority)

Somatic exercises help us to reawaken the mind's control of movement and feeling and improve overall flexibility.
The somatic sequences and exercises are simple and extremely effective and help to mobilise and relieve pain and muscular tension in the hips, back and neck. For most of the session you will be lying on your back, front or side, props and blankets are available for your comfort.

Yoga for All: A hatha-style class with
sequences, asana, pranayama and meditation

Friday – 10.30 to 11.45
In the sports hall at Lostwithiel Community Centre

In this mixed ability class, for those refreshing their knowledge of yoga and without major injuries, we explore all that yoga has to offer our physical, mental and emotional well being. We explore a wide range of flowing sequences, standing, seated and lying postures, balances and assisted inversions. Starting with joint preparation and somatic sequences, right the way through our class to final relaxation the focus of our practice is to strengthen and stretch the body while revitalising our inner energies and quieting the mind.
